Kincsem Palace

This special building was commissioned in 1878 by Ernő Blaskovich, a famous “soprtsman” of his time, and not least for his “mare racing with the winds”: Kincsem. Its outstanding architect was Gyula Bukovics, who was previously Ybl’s office manager and later became the designer of such significant buildings as the Ministry of Agriculture building or the newly renovated Schlossberger Castle in Turán.
The building's heroic era was followed by turbulent eras, and today we have an impressive building in its dilapidated state, which, according to the investor's intention, will be renewed in its original splendor and function at the time of construction as the City Palace, and expanded with contemporary layers - hosting cultural events and exhibitions, delighting the people of today!
