Irányi Palace

Our task in the transformation of the historical building built in 1897 was a complex task that included both architecture and interior design. The building, which was built as the headquarters of the opposition association called “Eagles”, later housed Budapest and state construction companies; but it also housed a famous restaurant and entertainment venue, as well as a cinema with a bell. As an architectural intervention, we demolished the roof, which was replaced by a new, two-story reinforced concrete coffin ceiling. The cantilevered corridors in the courtyard were rebuilt, and the elevator that previously stood free in the courtyard was converted into the interior spaces of the building with static modifications.
was transferred.
The resulting Irányi Palace opened its doors as a rental office building in 2020 after 20 years.
For the interior design of the house, we chose a concept that dignifies the historic spaces of the house, while creating contemporary spaces for today's office functions, and is able to display the harmony of all of these at the same time.
